LMETB is delighted to recognise the achievements of four students at our recent Green Schools Conference held at Trim Castle Hotel. Prizes were awarded to Saoirse L’Estrange, from St Peter’s College Dunboyne, Faye Woods from Ratoath College, Lucy Geoghegan from Coláiste Clavin and Aoibhinn Melady from Enfield Community College – each honoured for their creative ideas on how we can reduce energy use across our schools and centres.
The Conference was an excellent showcase of the innovative energy and sustainability projects taking place throughout our schools and provided students with an opportunity to share ideas and learn from one another. Thank you to all the students who took part and submitted ideas, the teachers who encouraged and supported them and all staff involved in making the event such a success.
The students’ enthusiasm and initiative speak for themselves – and their ideas will play a real part in driving LMETB’s approach to energy and sustainability going forward.
