LMETB is the largest provider of education and training in Louth and Meath, delivering a range of educational services at primary and post-primary and also in further education and training. We are part of the fabric of Louth and Meath with a local presence across the region. We have four Community National Schools, a Centre for European Schooling, eighteen post primary schools including one with Post Leaving Certificate provision, two Post Leaving Certificate Colleges, eight Youthreach Centres, a Regional Skills and Training Centre, an Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre of Excellence and an extensive range of further education services throughout Louth and Meath, including Adult Learning Services, Community Education, Back to Education Initiatives (BTEI), VTOS and Adult Guidance. LMETB has a long and proud heritage of serving the people of the region. Whether in our response to the pandemic, or in our co-ordination of the implementation of the public sector response to the Geiran report on Drogheda, LMETB is seen as a trusted partner by the people we serve.

LMETB is one of the largest ETBs in the country employing almost 2,500 staff and providing education and training to over 12,000 students at primary, post primary and post leaving certificate level and to almost 22,000 further education and training learners. LMETB staff, irrespective of grade or role, are committed to excellence and innovation in serving the people of Louth and Meath. The professionalism of our staff, our Board and the members of our boards of management, is complemented by the highest standards of governance and accountability in all that we do. Expenditure in 2020 amounted to €141m including €74m on primary and post primary schools and central administration, €41m on further education and training and €19m on capital projects.
