Ardee Youthreach and Tidy Towns Committee Mural Unveiled

On the 28th of April 2022, Ardee Youthreach, in conjunction with The Ardee Tidy Towns Committee, unveiled a 42 ft street art mural on Bridge Street, Ardee. The initiative, which was spearheaded by Councillor Jim Tenanty, gave an opportunity to showcase the artistic talent and creativity of the students of Ardee Youthreach.

The students completed the art project under the supervision of their art teacher, Paul McCann. Paul brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the area of Art and is an exceptionally talented artist in his own right.

The event was attended and supported by Cllr John Sheridan (Chairperson of LMETB Board), Dr. Aisling Sheridan (Adult Education Officer, LMETB), Cllr Jim Tenanty, James Gargan (Tidy Towns) and Jim Mackin (Louth County Council) – Ardee Youthreach would like to extend its gratitude and appreciation to all involved, especially the CE and TUS workers involved in erecting the work and St. Mary’s Ardee for their assistance.

The occasion was an excellent opportunity to celebrate the achievements and the success of the relatively new Youthreach centre in Ardee. Enda O’Reilly (Acting Coordinator) highlighted what an exceptional group of talented students are enrolled in the centre and pointed out the exhibited examples of teamwork, dedication and enthusiasm displayed by the group.
