It is with deep regret and profound sadness that we have learned of the untimely death of our dear friend and colleague, Fianna Fáil Councillor Damien O’Reilly, who passed away this morning. Damien was a highly respected and valued member of the Board of LMETB and was the Chairperson of the Board.
Damien was totally committed in his role as both chairperson, and as a board member, to the education and training of the people of Meath and Louth. Damien will be missed by the Board and staff of LMETB to whom he was a friend, colleague and a guiding hand. Damien had served as a member and chair of many Boards of LMETB schools and centres. The experience, energy and dedication he brought to all he did will be deeply missed.
Damien was devoted to his family, and our thoughts and prayers are with his partner Lisa, his children Carlie and Kyle, his mother Phil, and his wider circle of friends and colleagues at this sad time.
Books of condolence will be open at LMETB Head Office, Abbey Road, Navan and at LMETB Head Office, Chapel St, Dundalk on Monday September 18th at 10.00am
