LiRe2.0 (Lifelong Readers2.0) is an Erasmus+ EU funded project for which LMETB are the lead partners. The project aims to promote reading through the use of ICT and Web2.0 Tools for learners of all age.
As part of the project, a Toolkit has been devised and is freely available on the project website www.lifelongreaders.org. Within the Toolkit there is a wealth of resources that can be used by all educators in the classroom to promote reading. The resources include Lesson Plans, Tool Descriptions, and information on a wide range of best practice technology, reports and programs. These resources are adaptable across any curriculum.
As part of the project, LMETB will be hosting a Final Conference in The d Hotel, Drogheda on Tuesday 26th of September from 9.00am-1.30pm.
The Final Conference aims to demonstrate the findings of research conducted within the project as well as a detailed viewing of the LiRe2.0 Toolkit. The Final Conference will also feature key note speaker Stephen Howell who is the Academic Program Manager for Microsoft. Stephen will be speaking on the importance of innovative Web2.0 Tools within education as well as giving a demo on a variety of new and relevant Microsoft tools. Attendance at the LiRe2.0 Conference will be beneficial to any educator involved with IT, Literacy or reading promotion and all participation assists in the dissemination of the project by LMETB.
