On Thursday, January 15th, the students of Kells Youthreach visited our national Parliament, the Oireachtas. Our visit was arranged in conjunction with the office of TD Helen McEntee. The first part of our visit took us to the visitors chambers of the Dáil, where we were able to watch a live vote on legislation and Leaders Questions.
Next, we were given a tour of Leinster House which finished with a question and answer session with Deputy McEntee. Our last event saw staff and students enjoy an exquisite lunch in the private restaurant of Leinster House, with students dining alongside TDs and Ministers alike.
It was a thoroughly educational and pleasant experience for all our students and we are sincerely thankful to Deputy McEntee for helping arrange the visit.
