LMETB, together with Oiliúna Ltd., are offering a series of Open Days in its state-of-the-art Hairdressing Training Academy in Dundalk. Salons in the North East region who are interested in being part of the new exciting National Hairdressing Apprenticeship are invited to attend. There will be three open mornings on 29th and 30th May and again on 6th June from 10am-1pm each day.
Interested employers can come to the LMETB’s Hairdressing Academy Open Days at Brewery Business Park, Dundalk where subject matter experts will be available on the day to give you the most up to date information about the course content and its structure. If you are interested in taking on an apprentice, which may be a new or existing employee, and would like to attend an Open Day, please contact LMETB on 042 9355700 or [email protected]
LMETB will begin enrolments for the new hairdressing apprenticeship in the next 4 weeks. Places will be strictly limited to 14. This is an exciting new three-year programme which gives the apprentices the opportunity to earn while both on and off the job. Apprentices are mentored throughout the 3-year programme by their employers. Off the job training takes place in the Academy on a one day a week basis.
LMETB’s Hairdressing Apprenticeship is supported by a wide range of partners including the Hairdressing Federation of Ireland, HABIAC, the National Hairdressing Apprenticeship, local employers and SOLAS.
Rosie Mc Guigan, LMETB instructor, will be there to welcome all new apprentice employers. She says “I am looking forward to welcoming all salons interested in participating on the new apprentice intake for 2023. This is an exciting opportunity for salons and apprentices alike.”
There will also be 10 places available on the Hairdressing Apprenticeship in LMETB’s Dunboyne College of Further Education, and information on that apprenticeship can be obtained also from [email protected]
