At recent Open Days in Dundalk, Drogheda and Navan, LMETB’s Further Education and Training (FET) Service hosted a total of 346 attendees from across Louth and Meath. The events provided an excellent opportunity for attendees to find out more about the full-time and part-time Education and Training opportunities on offer in LMETB for adult learners and school leavers.
The venues in Imperial Hotel, Dundalk, D Hotel, Drogheda, and Newgrange Hotel, Navan were filled with
staff from a range of LMETB’s FET services, giving information and advice on Apprenticeship, Post Leaving Certificate Courses, VTOS, Evening Classes and much more.
Attendees were met by LMETB’s Adult Educational Guidance and Information Service, who were on hand to offer advice and guidance to anyone unsure as to what education and training options might suit best.
A range of people attended, including recent school leavers, people currently in employment and others hoping to get back into learning or the workforce. All were eager to access relevant, up to date information on their options.
LMETB wishes to extend its appreciation to the staff and attendees who made the Open Days such a success, and to Intreo who greatly assisted in promotion of the 3 events.
