Delivering Courses in Advanced Manufacturing
The aim of this Advanced Manufacturing Skills project is to establish the capacity in the Further Education and Training (FET) sector to develop and deliver advanced manufacturing courses.
The purpose of developing these courses is to up/reskill employees in technology based occupations and to support enhanced productivity in Irish SMEs whilst ensuring at all times that the courses are employer led and offer flexible delivery methods.
The design, construction, operation, and use of robots as intelligent machines that can help and assist humans in their day-to-day lives and keep everyone safe.
The collaboration between a person and a robot. The objective is to automate a large range of tasks and perform work in closer collaboration with people.
Additive Manufacturing – 3D Printing
3D printing, or additive manufacturing constructs three-dimensional object from a CAD model or a digital 3D model.
The simulation of technology for performance tuning or optimising, safety engineering, testing, training, education, and video games.
AR & VR
Augmented reality (AR) adds digital elements to a live view often by using the camera on a smartphone. Virtual reality (VR) implies a complete immersion experience that shuts out the physical world.
Computer security, cybersecurity or information technology security to protect computer systems and networks from the theft of or damage to their hardware, software, or electronic data, as well as from the disruption or misdirection of the services they provide.
World Class Training Facility
All training programmes will be employer focused, innovative and flexible using a variety of delivery methods from workshop, employer on site, night-time, on-line, blended, VR and 3D and will be delivered using world- class industry standard equipment and by industry experienced trainers, tutors and staff.
