Courses currently offered by VTOS Navan:

Restart your Learning – Employment Skills (QQI Level 4) Gentle introduction for anyone returning to education after a while, includes modules that develop skills that today’s employers are looking for in their workforce, e.g. Team-working, Customer Service, Food Safety, Work Experience.
Leaving Certificate – Science or Humanities options A widely recognised qualification that can lead to employment or progression to Further or Higher Education.
Introduction to Coding, Cyber Security & Web Development (QQI Level 5 Software Development) An introductory course that will allow people to get the basics of coding, an overview of cyber-security and confidence in building websites and web applications. Can lead to employment or progression to Further or Higher Education.
eBusiness (QQI Level 5) An IT based course that is ideal for anyone interested in setting up their own business and who wants to learn more about the advantages of being on-line for a  business.

Further Education and Training or FET, offers a wide variety of life-long education options to anyone over 18. FET includes apprenticeships, traineeships, Post Leaving Cert (PLC) courses, community and adult education as well as basic literacy and numeracy services. FET courses and programmes are provided through the Education and Training Board network throughout the country as well as through other local providers including online through SOLAS’ eCollege. FET courses are provided at levels one to six on the National Qualifications Framework.

Previous Students

VTOS Navan students Masindi Phiriga and Adam Coogan with LMETB’s Adult Education Officer, Imelda Prunty, pictured at the recent VTOS/LMETB Awards Ceremony in the Newgrange Hotel. Masindi and Adam achieved the highest scores in Ireland in the Combined Physics and Chemistry (ordinary level) paper in the 2018 Leaving Certificate exams. Masindi is now studying Nursing in DCU and Adam has just began his 2nd year with VTOS.
