LMETB has applied to the Department of Education and Skills to be the patron of a new 600 pupil post primary school to open in Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath in September 2021. Please click here to view our submission to the Department of Education and Skills including an overview of LMETB and our vision for the new post primary school in Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath.
LMETB has an excellent tradition in new school start – ups with our most recent Community National School (CNS) opening in Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath in August 2020 (http://www.dunshaughlincns.ie/) and a new post primary school, Enfield Community College (www.enfieldcc.ie) opening in September 2020 also.
LMETB is also patron of Dunshaughlin Community College (https://dunshaughlincc.ie/ ), a well established post primary school in Dunshaughlin. The reputation that Dunshaughlin Community College has built up locally has resulted in demand for places at the school greatly exceeding supply over the last number of years. LMETB, if awarded patronage of this new post primary school will ensure that the same high quality educational experience is provided at the new school.
If LMETB are awarded patronage of this new post primary school, we look forward to opening the doors to a new school which will offer a broad and balanced curriculum with a diverse range of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities where the aptitudes of students are central to its design. Further information on LMETB can be accessed at www.lmetb.ie
LMETB currently manages four Community National Schools, a Centre for European Schooling, seventeen post primary schools including one school with Post Leaving Certificate provision and two dedicated Post Leaving Certificate colleges. LMETB is also joint patron of six Community Schools located in Ardee, Ashbourne, Athboy, Drogheda, Kells and Trim.
A listing of all LMETB schools and colleges can be accessed here.
An Online Patronage Process System (OPPS) has been developed by the Department of Education and Skills to provide objective information to all parents which will allow them to make an informed choice about their preferred model of patronage for their child’s education. Parental preferences will be submitted by parents online. We hope you will choose LMETB as the patron of the post primary school in Dunshaughlin.
